What It Does
Transfer Analyst answers the question: at this hub, which connections are riders actually able to make and which ones are they just missing?
Service planners use Transfer Analyst to find opportunities to coordinate
For each pair of incoming and outgoing routes, the tool calculates the wait time a rider would have at the hub and assigns it to a bracket.
Features
Detailed Reports
Select a hub from a map, from a list, or by drawing a custom area. For any selected location, run reports showing individual trip-by-trip transfer opportunities or an aggregate summary across all incoming and outgoing route pairs. Filter by agency, route, direction, and time window.
Customize transfer time scoring
Transfer Analyst's default wait-time brackets fit many use cases. Planners can adjust breakpoints to match agency-specific standards or policy thresholds.
Walking Times and Accessibility Constraints
Walking time between arrival and departure stops is factored in. Where GTFS-Pathways data is already available (or when it's created using Interline Station Editor), Transfer Analyst calculates walking time along actual accessible routes. Users can select among routing profiles based on walking speeds, stair/escalator usage, and other accessibility factors.
